I bring 7 years of teaching experience to TPT, most of that being with my sweet first graders. Having taking some time off after having my baby girl, I will be returning to my hometown school district in August 2013 as a Master Teacher.
Understanding that all students learn differently, I always plan with all learners in mind. Inspired by nature and the world around me, my Garden Themed classroom was a place where my students could "get their hands dirty," always ask why, and always have fun. I consider myself a patient, kind teacher who loves surprising her students with new ways to help them learn. My new job endeavors coming in August 2013 will give me the opportunity to work with many grade levels, and I can't be more excited. Although I will miss having my own classroom, I can't wait to work with a variety of teachers and students. I am always ready to share and always ready to help any fellow educator.
Teacher of the Year
Graduated 2006 from LSU... Geaux Tigers!
I am a wife and a mother to a beautiful baby girl. I am a hard worker and love when the seasons change, all things in nature, bright colors, cute clip art, and my Cricket Cutter. I was so inspired by my own first grade teacher that I knew I wanted to be a teacher like her one day, too. My faith and family are deeply rooted in my heart and without either, I wouldn't be who I am today.
