Taught English Language Arts and Reading Support classes at a Title I school in the Pacific Northwest. Redesigned training curriculum using participant feedback to better suit the needs of the students. Assessed the entire 700 students in ninth grade to discover the average Reading level in order to influence instruction and necessary support for all students. Built graphic organizers and study aids for ELL students to use cross curriculum. Trained veteran and new teachers across curriculums on the IRLA reading assessment tool in order to strengthen their ability to pinpoint Reading learning goals on a student by student basis. Created writing templates, chunk paragraphs and sentence frames as informational writing support for ELL students.
Incorporating activities to target students who fit under different categories of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences. Utilizes Sheltered Instruction Observational Protocol (SIOP) strategies to strengthen classroom teaching for all students Utilize choices for final projects for students to show growth. Focus on capturing engagement of underserved or struggling students.

2005: Bachelor's of Science in both Journalism and Business Administration from University of Oregon in USA. 2012: Master's in Teaching from George Fox University in USA with a focus on English Language-Arts and General Business. I also attained the Reading Specialist certification.
