I have the honor of being the Literacy Coach and Response to Intervention Specialist at my Elementary School. I have been in education for 17 years. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade throughout my teaching years.
I believe that all students can learn. We just have to reach out and meet them where they are. Knowing your students strengths and weaknesses and differentiating is the key to success.
I have received the campus-based teacher of the year award 6 times throughout my teaching career.
I attended and graduated from Texas A & M University. I am certified to teach 1st grade through 8th grade. I also have a Reading Specialist certificate.
I love kids and teachers! I am dedicated to continuing my learning journey and be the best teacher and Literacy Coach that I can be. I am the owner and writer for my educational blog that is dedicated to providing teachers with the most current literacy information, strategies, and FREEBIES!
