TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught at the middle school level for 18 years (and my first year was in elementary.) I've taught U.S. History, English, and science in Virginia - the only thing I haven't taught is math!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Yet to be added

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I served as Social Studies Department chair for 10 years and have studied at the LBJ Presidential Library as well as with the National Endowment for the Humanities in Montana and Washington states.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor's in Psychology from Grove City College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Kent State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Recently I've launched a side career as a freelance writer, and have a monthly column on local history in the newspaper. I also do a lot of sewing - in particular, refashioning - which helps to explain the store name!

Teachers Pay Teachers
