I have taught for six years in an urban school district. I have taught all lower grades and a year of third. Most of my experience this far has been in PreK.
I try to keep up with the newest trends and combine them with the tried and true methods of teaching. I believe that students need to be empowered to be successful. I really try to reach individual learners as no person fits in the same mold. A saying we use a lot in my classroom is "Fair is where you get cotton candy." All students need different tools and resources to be successful.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Special Education. I have endorsements in cognitive impairments and in early childhood education.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have no children of my own, but live with my two nephews. I enjoy watching them play hockey. I also have a golden retriever (Liberty) who is spoiled rotten and love days at the beach and scrap-booking.
