TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Lifelong learner but a formal educator for 13 years. My teaching areas include American History, International Relations and Ancient History/Classical Studies. All the lessons I have posted and continue to post, have been successfully taught and carefully revised over time. My other passions are my family of course but also included playing and coaching soccer and basketball. If you have any questions about these lessons, please contact me.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm a "neo-traditionalist" who still believe that the personality of a teacher to a large extent carries the classroom. However, today's learner also requires the use of technology which I have implemented into my teaching repertoire. My classes are discussion based as well which requires guidance, planning and a bit of spontaneity. I try to also incorporate current events into historical concepts which discuss to provide context and perspective. This only reinforces the value of "history" as a crucial subject area in education.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The only "honor" is the life long reward of teaching....

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a double-major in university focusing on Geography and History. My history studies focused largely on American history and 20th Century International Relations. Geography studies focused primarily on Climatology.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Some say I look Adam Sandler...the bio pic satisfies that claim!
