TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I LOVE teaching! This year is my 24th year of teaching. I have taught grades K through 8th over the years. I have been an Academic Intervention Teacher in all grade K - 8, Classroom Teacher 4th grade and 6th grade, and a Reading Coach.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to translate my excitement for reading to the students in as many ways as possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My greatest honor is praise from a student who has learned and enjoyed my class.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my undergraduate degree in Education from University of Central Florida and my Masters in Literacy from College of New Rochelle. I am certified in Nursery - 6th grade in Education and K-12 in Literacy.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching children, but I have also taught adults over the years as a turn-key trainer, Summer School Coordinator, ELA Coordinator, adjunct professor at College of New Rochelle, and Reading Coach. As busy as I am at work, I am just as busy at home with my husband and three active boys!
