My name is Ms. Jill Gilmore Tanner. I have been teaching for 13 years. I started teaching as a substitute In Jackson Madison County School System while working on my masters. I subbed over 150 days my first year completing 3 interim maternity leaves. I student taught in Chester County for 4th grade and 7th grade English/Grammar. I have taught at South Elementary in JMCSS as a Reading Specialist and Halls Elementary in Halls, TN as a 2nd grade teacher. I taught 3rd grade for 4 years at Dyersburg Intermediate in Dyersburg, TN. I was a Technology Coach at Dyersburg Primary School in Dyersburg, TN for one year. I taught 4th grade at Thelma Barker Elementary for two years, Kindergarten for one year and 3rd grade for one year. I am now currently teaching Kindergarten at Beech Bluff Elementary. I obtained a master's of education in Curriculum and Instruction from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Political Science at Harding University in Searcy, AR. I have been working on my Ph.D. in Educational Technology at Walden University. I am originally from Jackson, Tennessee. I am so excited to be teaching in Jackson-Madison County Schools.
