I've taught elementary school for 12 years. I've taught 1st, 3rd, and now 5th grades. I hold a multiple subject clear credential, a single subject Science credential, and a Master's degree in Educational Technology. I've taught adult education in the dentistry field prior to teaching elementary school. My class passions are Science, Weather, and Educational Technology, along with a strong affinity for classroom management.
I'm a believer that every student is educable. I also believe that learning is a partnership between the student, parents, myself and our school. It's not a spectator sport. Being an active learner is crucial to student success. I do everything in my power to create an engaging, fun, and safe environment for my students to learn in. We have a ton of fun, but we put in the effort necessary to succeed. I love teaching with all my heart, and can not imagine doing anything else.

I'm a California native, living and teaching in a small mountain community in Southern California. I'm married ( 33 years), and am the mother of a 25 year old daughter, who is currently aspiring to become a teacher, as well. I have two sweet chihuahua puppies (Zeus and Penny), and a wicked black cat, Fat Tony (Aka: VooDoo Kitty). I love camping, writing, drawing, creating resources for my class, archery, and techie stuff.
