Elizabeth Williams is in her 9th year of teaching English Language Arts while Stacey Butera is in her 4th year in an ELA classroom. However, as the name suggests, both of us have come to teaching after pursuing other careers in consulting and sales, but we consider ourselves "Teachers at Heart." In whatever role we are filling - 8th grade ELA teacher, mother, consultant, team leader, peer - we feel that we are teachers at heart. We spend a great deal of time creating material to share with other teachers, so we decided to take it a step further and create our own TpT page!
Although we have slightly different styles in the classroom, we both share the same fundamental approaches to teaching. For both us, the key to an effective classroom is engaging and interesting content. Bored students are not learning! We try to create material that is high interest, relevant, and conducive to teaching our students how to succeed in and out of the classroom. We believe in the fundamental principles of the common core curriculum, but we also know that student learning requires a varied approach.
