TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have experience as a classroom teacher of 2nd - 5th grades. Currently, I am a gifted education specialist of 5th and 6th graders, and develop and extend curriculum well into the high school level for my gifted students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach most content as part of a thematic unit. Students learn more when they see the connectedness of subject areas, especially when they see a purpose for what they are learning. I incorporate technology when appropriate, and as a mother of 3 active boys I want to make sure learning is high-interest and hands on when possible.
