TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 20th year in education. I taught for 9 years in Las Vegas, NV - 7 years in 5th grade, 1 year each in 1st and 3rd grades. I am now in Texas where I have taught 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies in a departmentalized setting. For the 2017-2018 school year, I am opening a brand new middle school. I will be teaching 6th grade Social Studies - World Cultures.

MY TEACHING STYLE

You never know what you will see when you come into my classroom. I believe in engaging the students with many techniques such as using humor, props, costumes, and fun activities. Students experience the ability to learn at their own pace, with choices of activities and the independence to work with others, by themselves, or with me.
