TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught U.S. History and Government to students of many ages and abilities for over a decade, This includes teaching at the middle school level (7th and 8th grade) as well as the high school level (11th and 12th grade). Teaching students with special needs in the co-teaching format, teaching with 1:1 devices, and teaching AP level course has provided me with a wealth of experiences to understand how students learn best, but more importantly, it has offered me everyday fun as I share my passion for history and politics!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want my students to appreciate what it means to be *American*. By combining fun and engaging activities, visuals, and hands-on lessons with rigorous standards that challenge students to work and think independently my goal is for students to understand the importance of history and become more personally responsible for their learning in and out of the classroom. The end game, after all, is to prepare students who will one day lead our nation as moral, successful citizens in a globalized world.
