Teaching is my second career! I earned a BA in Business Administation/Information Systems and went to work as a programmer/analysts. During this phase of my professional life, I learned collaboration skills and successful project management.
I decided to take my life in a new direction and went back to school full-time to earn my Masters in Teaching.
I've worked in elementary schools as a computer specialist, 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher and I've taken on a new opportunity as an instructional coach with a focus on ELL teaching strategies. I work with the most amazing group of teachers! Together, we are collaborating and making a difference in the lives of students.
I bring creativity and excitement to my classroom. Our motto is "work hard, play hard!" Over the years, students responded to the challenge and have demonstrated significant gains in learning. My strategies include:

My husband and I have successfully raised two fabulous sons! Our oldest son graduated from college, has a steady job, and pays his own car insurance. (The true mark of parental success!) He has many interests, including competitive rowing and basketball officiating. Our youngest is graduating from high school and is planning to attend Washington State University in the fall. He has been accepted into the Honors College and will continue his interests in communications and broadcasting.
