I have been teaching for 4 1/2 years. I have taught three years in 4th grade, 1 in 5th, and a half of a year as a Reading Intervention Coach. I also taught for a year in Alabama before moving back home to Georgia. During my time teaching, I have also worked extensively with students with special needs who are preforming on a kindergarten level as well as students who are new English learners.
I do almost all my teaching in small groups. I am energetic and like to get the students up and moving around at all times possible. I usually collaborate with my team teachers when coming up with plans but we all put our own spin on things! :)

I have always known that I wanted to teach. I grew up in the same school system that I currently teach in and I am so excited that I get to give back. My favorite moment in teaching is watching the student's faces "light up" when they finally understand a concept that they've been working on for a while! Let me know if you have additional questions. I'd love to get to know y'all!
