TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a kindergarten and second grade teacher, a tutor for 3rd-5th graders, and an Early Childhood Specialist. I am a mom to three boys ages 5 and under, it's always crazy at my house! I absolutely loved being an Early Childhood Specialist and I miss it so much. I am now at home with my three boys and working when I can on teacher products and my blog. I am planning to go back to school for my Masters Degree soon.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe giving my students' ownership of the classroom and teaching them to manage their own behaviors. Teaching is a passion of mine. I believe children learn by doing and I believe firmly in creating a classroom community where students feel safe to be creative and take risks. I'm extremely passionate about developmentally appropriate practices in the early childhood classroom and I strongly believe that children learn through play.
