TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching with the same district for 10 years. I taught 3rd grade for 6 years, 2nd grade for 4 years and fell in love with 4th grade during summer school. I've taken 30 hours towards a Gifted and Talented certificate and I am set to graduate in May 2018 with a Masters of Education and Guidance Counseling.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am loud, loving and very "class family" oriented. I love using technology and learning from those around me. I think learning, even for the teacher, is an ongoing process!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

- Curriculum / Summative Writer for our district, 3 years - Head Student Council Advisor to an award-winning StuCo (3 years) - Nominated 4 times for Teacher of the Year - Cluster (Team) Leader, 5 years

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas for two years and transferred to Rio Grande College to finish my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I'm currently attending Angelo State University to complete my Masters in Educational and Guidance Counseling.

I've been married for 14 years now to a great, Godly man - he's definitely been a driving force behind my success. I have two great children, Beka and Benjamin, who make my world beautiful. We have two miniature schnauzers and a giant schnauzer - apparently, we thrive off of chaos!
