I am a teacher and high school principal with 15 years of experience in schools. My teaching portfolio includes instruction in grades 6-12 in English Language Arts and Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Sociology, Introduction to Philosophy, American History, Government, and more. I have also taught literature at the college level.

I expect my students to take control of their own learning. I give them the tools they need, and I want them to seize the opportunity to learn something. I also lead by example by constantly challenging myself and discovering new things. In my classroom, I emphasize deep thinking and I encourage questions.
