I have taught students with a variety of disabilities and academic abilities. I have taught students with low functioning Autism and I currently teach students who are diagnosed with emotional and behavioral disabilities in a middle school setting.
I do a combination of direct instruction and student-centered learning.

I graduated from Lewis-Clark State College with a B.A. in 6-12 English and a minor in K-12 Special Education. I have an MAED with specialization in child development and most recently, an Education Specialist degree in Special Education. I have taught in the public school setting for almost 10 years.
I currently reside in Alaska with my darling boys, age 3 and age 5, and my loving husband. In my "free time" I enjoy reading just about anything I can get my hands on, crocheting, hiking with my boys and our dogs, and gardening. I was able to get my hands on tulip bulbs from my grandmothers tulip garden and although they decided to sprout in the middle of December, I am hopeful to save them and establish m very own tulip garden here.
