TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a high school regular education teacher for a number of years teaching primarily junior English. I have worked with ICS teachers and special education students for two of those years. I am into my second year teaching role teaching freshmen and sophomores come September and am excited for the challenge.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style primarily focuses on the student and the various learners in my classroom. Each group of students is different and they must be taught in various ways to have them succeed. Even when teaching the same curriculum, it is unlikely I will use the same exact lesson plans and assessments for each year. My assessments follow standards and also state-wide testing [i.e PARCC]. I enjoy using a plethora of technology and various resources to allow my students to succeed.
