TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 16 years in Indiana and Florida, For the last 4 years, I have taught Outdoor Learning Pre-K and kindergarten and absolutely love it. My first classroom was 2nd-4th grade gifted and talented, then I found the crazy, fun, and entertaining world of kindergarten! When I started having kids, I felt burnt out, overwhelmed, I took 2 1/2 years off from teaching and loved being home with my kids, but something was missing! Then outdoor learning was introduced to my life and I was hooked! It gave me the balance I needed to bring joy back to my teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I feel I have found the secret to a calmer and more joyful classroom by incorporating nature and outdoor learning. I am driven by creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences with nature and outdoors for my students.
