I have been teaching for 11 years in a 5th grade math classroom. I have taught math, science, and social studies. I am currently seeking my E.D.S degree in Instructional Leadership. As an aspiring administrator I have received my Administrative Licensure. I am passionate about effective instruction.
I believe students are bored with the traditional instructional methods of lecturing. I have witnessed through my own teaching an increase in student achievement since I have incorporated more effective grouping, collaboration, accountable talk, goal setting, and data conferencing. Engaging my students in the process has made all the difference.
