TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently an English Teacher (teaching 11th, 12th, and AP), Writing Teacher (teaching College Writing and Capstone Research) in addition to being the Director of College Counseling, NCAA Compliance Coordinator, and the English and History Department Chair. I also teach SAT and ACT prep. I previously owned a tutoring business and tutored K-12, adult education, and test prep. I have been in the Education field in one form or another for 13 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I do a lot of cross-curricular studies but I also like to keep things fun and upbeat when I can. Since I mainly teach upper school students who are preparing for College, most of my materials are in-depth and challenging. However, I do have things I made for younger grades as well.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started at Western Connecticut State University and finished my B.S. Secondary English Education at Grand Canyon University. Completed my student teaching at a local public school teaching 12th and 8th grade. I am in my final stretch of my Master's program in Creative Writing: Non-Fiction through Southern New Hampshire University. Once I complete, I will be pursuing my Doctorate Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction.
