TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Communicative Disorders Assistant and a homeschooling mother. I specialize in paediatric language development in the speech therapy setting. I have a love for teaching toddlers to talk.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that reading together opens doors to future communication of all kinds. I like to take the abstract concept of reading a book and make it more concrete by bringing short stories to life to really build receptive and expressive communication in our littles! I take that one step further by using children's books as the underlying theme for building language in various forms at differing levels.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor of arts (honours) in psychology and linguistics. I also studied childhood development. I then went on to receive a post-graduate certificate as a Communicative Disorders Assistant.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a mother to two beautiful boys - a toddler and a newborn. Now that I am home taking care of my boys, I have been creating all of the speech and language therapy materials that my little clients used to absolutely love, for you to use!
