TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Science Education. This is my fifth year teaching 5th grade and I'm lovin' it! The school district that I serve is a bilingual school (Spanish, Tewa, and English) within a rural Title-1 community. Our school is an intermediate school, dedicated to our 300 4th and 5th graders.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching is CCSS based, so I approach all of my lessons, activities, graphic organizers, and assessments from this perspective. In my classroom you could expect to see group work, productive struggle, self-selection, growth mindset practices, structure, engagement, and and all of the surprises and joy that teaching offers!
