Teaching is my passion and calling. I wake up every morning eager to see my students and to get the day of learning started. I began my career in First Grade which is the grade that I thought I loved until my (new then) principal moved me to Kindergarten. Now I cannot imagine my life working with any other grade level.
I'm a very centers based teacher. In order for me to do something effectively I must enjoy it myself, and that's how I get my learners to learn effectively. I am also incredibly encouraged by Thinking Routines- I use them constantly in my classroom.
I've presented at numerous conferences including the CREATE conference in Knoxville, Tennessee and the Project Zero Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
