TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 28 years in North Carolina and Wisconsin - at every grade level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Eclectic definitely. Teachers have to draw from various resources when their students come from such different backgrounds. Flexible - the first word on all of my evaluations. I think all teachers have to be flexible, from year-to-year, day-to-day, minute-to-minute.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Don't like to toot my own horn; sorry.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my BS degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!).

I live in the lovely state of North Carolina with my sensational husband (together for 30 years now - wow!) and our four awesome children - two are at Appalachian (of course!), one is in high school & community college (dual enrolled!), and the "baby" is in the 8th grade. www.teachingtykes.net
