I have been very fortunate to have taught across a range of subject areas: - Yr 7, 8, 9 Humanities (all fields), - Yr 7, 8, 9 Science - English and Literacy - Maths and Numeracy - Vocational Education (Literacy and work ready skills) - SACE Yr 11 and 12 subjects in many areas mainly through Integrated Studies I love Curriculum - I believe it is truly amazing and teaching is the best profession there is.
I believe in making learning fun and relevant. I hate being confined to a classroom or trapped working straight from a text book. I prefer to create my own resources which allow students to learn in many ways from self guided to direct instruction. In everything I do I strive to be creative. The hardest challenge in the areas I have worked in is to find resources that are not too childish for students who are older and have huge gaps in their learning. This has motivated me to create my own resources.

I am a teacher from the NT with years of experience working with mainly Indigenous students. I have had the opportunity to work with wonderful teachers who have given me so many amazing experiences, teaching me that curriculum is an art and you can make any subject interesting if you try. These wonderful teachers have given me so much knowledge. I have worked in mainstream schools and currently teach at a Flexible Learning Centre which caters for students who are completely disengaged from traditional educational settings, who have complex trauma backgrounds. I am Head of Curriculum at my school and responsible for Yr 7-12 curriculum implementation, careers and pathways, inclusion support, testing and management of general day to day teaching challenges. I love teaching and could not imagine a better job out there. Curriculum is my passion. My work is more than just a job I love it and I love learning how to be better and discovering new ways to engage students in fun learning activities.
