TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the last five years, I've taught middle school social studies and language arts. I've worked at two outstanding schools, one in Texas and one in California, and have gotten to teach everything from world history to Texas history!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm passionate about using empathy in my classroom, both as a personal practice and by helping students to apply empathy to history and literature. I want students to be able to understand the perspectives of individuals from different civilizations and fictional texts, and to be able to use what they've learned to make a difference in the world.
