I am in the middle of my fourth year of teaching third grade!
I am a huge fan of Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. My goal is to teach students in the way that they learn. I incorporate reading, conversation, visuals, graphic organizers, kinethestic activities, team activities, and music to help students build the bridge between where they are and where they are going.
I was nominated for the Freida M. Thomas Teacher of Promise Award after completing my third year of teaching.
I am a graduate of Georgia College and State University, where I earned my B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I am also a graduate of Piedmont College, where I earned my M.A. in Early Childhood Education.
I am passionate about teaching and committed to keeping lessons engaging. One of my favorite teaching tools is music. I love to use contemporary music and create songs to address the standards. My students have loved it and I hope yours will as well!
