TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a kindergarten paraprofessional for 6 years before earning my teaching degree. I taught 2nd grade for 7 years and just last year I looped up to third grade and I love it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in making children feel loved and comfortable in the classroom. I am sometimes silly, sometimes serious, but always loving. I expect nothing but the best from my students, and I make sure they understand my expectations.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was chosen as Teacher of the Year for my school in 2012-13. It was the highest honor of my life!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I completed my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 2004, completed a master's degree in ECE from Piedmont College in 2010 and an Early Childhood Education Specialist degree from Brenau in 2011.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been married for 25 years and have a beautiful 21 year old daughter who will soon graduate with a degree in Computer Science. I am beginning to feel the effects of Empty Nest Syndrome, which is why I'm venturing into TPT! I love teaching and have the most wonderful co-workers and friends that I get to share my school days with:)
