TEACHING EXPERIENCE

We have taught an array of social studies courses including Global History I & II, United States History, Participation in Government, Introduction to Economics and Introduction to Psychology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Our goal is to create structured, engaging and student-driven lessons that can be seamlessly implemented into your classroom. All of our lessons include an attractive PowerPoint that is perfectly aligned to a student activity handout. PowerPoints are scripted for easy implementation into your classroom and include a lesson objective, coordinated notes, paired discussion prompts and critical thinking questions. When you download one of our lessons, you can expect to find a lesson consisting of an introductory "Do Now" or "Anticipation Set," followed by a brief teacher led mini-lecture where the framework of the lesson can be established. Afterwards, students embark on cooperative learning activities (paired or small group) where topics can be explored in greater depth. We conclude all of our lessons with a summary activity that provides teachers the opportunity to assess student progress and achievement. The duration of our lessons is approximately 50 minutes.
