TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught ESL (K-5) for 2 years, kindergarten for 3 years, Title I reading (K-5) for 2 years, 1st grade for 1 year, and 2nd grade for 2 years. I've nannied, tutored, babysat, worked as a summer camp counselor for children with autism, and everything in between! As long as I can remember, I've worked with children and loved it.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Organized, creative, flexible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've earned 8 grants from DonorsChoose and 4 grants from my school district education association. All used to buy wonderful new books, technology, and supplies for my students!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have an M.Ed with elementary endorsements, as well as Reading and ESOL endorsements.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a teacher from lovely (and rainy) Portland, Oregon. I enjoy discovering new recipes and home decorating/organizing ideas on Pinterest, spending time with my wonderful husband, going to the gym (especially to Zumba!), and spoiling my little yorkie Chloe. We are expecting our first child (a boy) in May 2017 and are thrilled to begin this new journey in our lives. I am constantly creating engaging workbooks and activities for my students and co-workers, so I thought I might as well share them with the world! Creating learning activities is a hobby and passion of mine, it is never a job!
