I am currently a Special Education Resource Teacher. I have experience working with children as a tutor, educational intern, reading interventionist and teacher. I have also spent time abroad in Ghana, West Africa and Costa Rica working in the educational systems.
I believe that learning should be authentic and engaging. I also love creating and planning lessons that are student-motivated (i.e. students help come up with the topic of study).
ETS Recognition of Excellence
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as a Masters of Education in Reading. I am also TEFL certified and hold endorsements in English as a Second Language (ESL), Reading and Special Education (LBS1).
I love teaching. I am so grateful to be able to wake up every morning and love what I do.
