I have 12 years of active teaching experience in the Australian education system. Five of these years have been full time in my own classrooms. The other years have all been in a team teaching environment with various staff members. I am very familiar at walking the Team Teaching Tightrope.
My teaching style is very lead by my students. They run the room and their learning, I am just the guide of their journey. I quickly learn their interests and how they learn best. My lesson plan is an organic planner as I am constantly changing it, often on the spot, to respond to the learning demands of my students and their interests. I can tell a child's mood within seconds of them walking in the door and feel it is important to modify lessons to suit when appropriate.

I grew up travelling the world. All of my elementary school years were in the international school system. I did Jr. High in New York before returning to Australia for high school. I have a Bachelor of Education (primary) from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2002.
I am a wife and the mother of two wonderful children, one of whom is high functioning autistic. My eldest is in primary (elementary) school. My youngest is doing a second year of kindergarten. My children are unique, as are all children. I love them to the moon and back.
