I have been in education for 20 years and specialize in helping districts who want to go 1:1 as well as create teaching materials for K-5 teachers. I have been an instructional technology specialist, a K-5 literacy coach and a first grade classroom teacher. I have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a specialist degree in Reading. I have been awarded and recognized as a National Board Certified teacher and received the Making it Happen Award from the Hot Springs Technology Institute in 2006. I am also a former teacher of the year for the North Little Rock School District as well as named Arkansas Teacher of the Year Regional Finalist.
Teacher that acts as facilitator who differentiates instruction using a variety of techniques including technology. I believe in the power of technology but only when used effectively. It is important that teachers understand learning theory and how it relates to the impact on student achievement.
