I currently work as an Intervention Specialist and web design tech for a middle school in central Ohio. Prior to this I worked as a 5th grade Intervention Specialist at a community school working with students with multiple disabilities.
I teach students with differing abilities and learning styles, so my teaching style tends to change depending on each student's individual needs. Currently I work mainly in the inclusion setting. Co-teaching with General Education teachers in grades 6-8th. In our classrooms we have students complete several different structured tasks based on student need. A large amount of our students struggle with emotional trauma so we not only focus on academics but on how to be effective members of society. We love to see our students grow over the course of the school year.
