TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been a pediatric SLP for 10 years. Much of that time was spent in an outpatient clinical setting, but 4 years ago I began contracting with a teletherapy company to provide school-based services. I am also a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist/Auditory Verbal Therapist, as accredited by the AG Bell Academy.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Truman State University (Kirksville, Missouir) from 2002-2006 for my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Spanish. I attended Fontbonne University (St. Louis, Missouri) to earn my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology with an emphasis on Children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am originally from Columbia, Missouri but I have lived in Johnston, Iowa (a suburb of Des Moines) for 10 years. I am married and have a 5-year-old daughter, 1-year-old son, and 6 year old dog. In addition to creating materials to use in therapy and share with others, I love to play with my kids, organize and decorate the house, attempt Pinterest recipes, take walks, and have BBQs with neighbors and friends. Thanks for stopping by!
