MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

During my leadership journey, I earned an ILD Certification from Concordia University in Feb. 2009. The ILD course has taught me how to understand the foundations and systems approach to instructional leadership, articulate the relation between curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the Curriculum/Instruction/Assessment sections of ILD (CIA), understand the complexities of supervision and evaluation of faculty in the Supervision section of ILD, list and discuss the six methods of professional development and the importance of professional and staff development to overall teaching excellence, articulate the importance of as well as the barriers present in involving the community in the life of a school campus. I also earned a PDAS Certification from Concordia University in May 2013 and am highly trained in the eight PDAS domains. I am also a proud member of Pi Lambda Theta, an honors society in the education field.
