While I of course want students to feel confident in their learning, my main goal when they leave my class is not for them to be human calculators that can pump out their 12 times table in eight seconds. My goal is to foster within them a love of others and a sense of self-confidence. I'm trying to make good humans out of these students who have been entrusted to my care.

I received my associate's degree from Panola College and a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University. Eat 'em up Kats! I hope to begin my Masters program within the next year or two.
I live in a small town with my husband, a sweet dog, and a not so sweet cat. Thus far, my teaching experience has been in two Title I elementary schools across the state of Texas. I truly feel like this job is teaching me as much about compassion and understanding as I am teaching my students about everything else. I love traveling, crafting, and decorating our home. As I grow in my profession, I hope to creating more and better products to suit the needs of classrooms across the world!
