First and foremost, Mrs. K's goal as a teacher is to provide the structure and motivation to help students obtain greater academic success. She believes that all students can learn, but also acknowledges that there are many distractions in the lives of students that keep them from achieving their potential. By providing a reason for learning the material, and adding enjoyment to learning process, she hopes to help soften some of these distractions.
Biology has always been a source of endless fascination for Mrs. K and it is her ultimate satisfaction to share her love of science with others. She appeared in a documentary film titled The Revisionaries released in 2012 which you can watch on Netflix and read about here: http://www.popmatters.com/review/164660-the-revisionaries-makes-the-textbook-debates-fascinating/
