TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my twenty-sixth year of teaching elementary in the great state of Texas. My current position is the Gifted and Talented Specialist for kindergarten through fifth grade. In the past I have taught self -contained second, third, and fourth grades. I also served as Reading and Math Interventionist for first through fifth grades. Occasionally I will teach an undergraduate course in reading at one of the local universities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I don't subscribe to any one method, I believe that each objective may require a layering of techniques, depending on the group or individual child. I always like to work with a lot of creativity to show each student's unique perspective. Some of my best days I refer to as "controlled chaos" and I wouldn't have it any other way.
