I have primarily taught middle school Social Studies in Pennsylvania for the last seven years. I have instructed all levels of U.S. History, Geography/World Cultures, Economics ranging from inclusion classrooms to sections of Gifted and Talented in the middle school setting.
Because my current school's mission and vision prides itself on discovery based learning, many of my lessons that will be posted center on cooperative activities and ones that are project-based. I encourage my students to participate in discussions and debates on various historical topics in class with supplementary lecture and presentation formats included.
Outstanding Teacher of the Year (2008-2009), (2009-2010) Citadel Heart of Learning Award Nominee (2011) 7th Grade Team Leader (2008-2012) Social Studies Department Head (2012)
I received my Bachelors in History from King's College and Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from Wilmington University.
Please feel free to check out for continued updates and lesson/unit postings!
