I have been a Library Media Specialist for 9 years. I spent 4 years teaching in a Middle School grades 6-8 in Southeast, Washington, D.C. I then spent 3 years working in an elementary school in Maryland, grades pre-K-5. Currently, I am completing my 2nd year in New Jersey at the elementary level, grades K-5.
Every year I try to find ways to engage and challenge students when it comes to Media and Technology. It is important to me that I stay up to date in technology trends and that my students are learning EFFECTIVE ways to incorporate technology into their academic and personal life. I strive to create library programming that truly represents the needs of our student population. I rarely re-use lessons year to year because our world and the information in it is constantly changing. So I am always creating and changing and updating!
