TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 8 years. My teaching career started in Dallas, TX where I taught 1st and 2nd grade. I then fulfilled a life long dream of teaching in NYC! During my time in New York City I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade at a Public School in Brooklyn. My classrooms have always been made up of students from very diverse backgrounds and socio economic status. I love meeting the challenges of my students and watching them reach their fullest potential!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style has developed over time and with each group of children I teach. I have found that project based learning is where my student's creativity flies and they truly become connected to what they are learning. I also know the importance of reinforcing the basics and giving students lots of practice and multiple chances to learn a new skill!
