The mysterious disappearance of Inspector Quadro leaves several case files incomplete and unsolved. Students are called upon to gather evidence to unmask the identity and area of the mysterious quadrilaterals.
This versatile activity includes

14 page checklist includes BOTH Part 1 (Linear)and Part 2 (Non-Linear).
I created this checklist as a review guide for my students in Algebra 1, but it also serves well as a pre-assessment for Algebra 2. There are 56 basic algebra skills, separated

8 posters and a student/parent handout (all 8.5"x11") depicting the eight common core standards for mathematical practice.
These math practice standards are common for all grade levels, but my poster illustrations are definitely algebraic in focus,

24 Pages. This unit on scatterplots and trend lines is designed to accompany the study of linear functions. It is fully aligned with the Common Core Standards. Students should already be familiar with the following:
* Writing equations of lines

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught high school and middle school mathematics in many settings: public, private, urban, suburban, and rural. I have also worked in an instructional and editorial capacity for Pearson Education. I've benefited from the leadership of some extraordinary mentors throughout my career and I look forward to sharing my expertise with you.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Mathematics has wonderful depth and intrigue. I find that cooperative learning, performance tasks, writing, and exploration are all wonderful tools for driving the content to a place where synthesis and analysis can happen. I strive to identify and explore big ideas and essential questions in all topics.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My original classroom materials have received accolades from my colleagues, students, and parents wherever I go.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hi everyone! I am loving the creative outlet and peer review that TpT provides me. Your feedback and comments are immensely useful and welcomed. I hope my materials are helpful to you. In general, I submit items in a non-editable pdf format. Please contact me if you would like something edited for a specific purpose. I'm happy to oblige on an individual basis.
