I was born outside of Seattle, Washington and moved to Maui when I was in elementary school. I attended Kamali'i Elementary and St. Anthony Junior-Senior High School. After high school, I went to Washington state for college and studied business. Two years later I changed my major to Elementary Education and moved back to Maui to attend the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. After graduating, and becoming a Highly Qualified Teacher in the State of Hawai'i, I became a Fourth Grade teacher at Kamali'i Elementary. I was so excited to get to return to the school I once attended as a student! This 2015/2016 school year I am going to be embarking on a new journey. I am the Future Ready Schools Pillar at our school and I will be leading a pilot program of 1:1 devices for the entire fourth grade. It's bound to be a journey, but one I am excited to begin!
