I've been teaching for 7 years. I have taught social studies in grades 4 through 12. I have also taught English Language Arts at the elementary levels.
My teaching style has grown tremendously and continues to grow everyday. I have figured out how to teach without being exhausted - most days. This was something I had to figure out - the hard way. I like to think of myself as a facilitator of learning skills through engaging activities rather than dictator of content. As a teacher, you have to be a hybrid of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Learning the balance of working tirelessly with little results or properly planning prior to the lesson for better results can be a battle. Truth is - there isn't enough hours in a day to be "fully" prepared. Here is where I come in. I will post the lessons that I have created - that saved me many headaches. We all need less headaches!

I have a B.A. in history and a Master' s in Education.
I am a proud mother of a teenage son. He is a sophomore in the the high school I graduated from - where I also teach. How about that for a hoot? I love teaching high school! I've taught all grades besides K-3.
