TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an Arts Educator in Georgia. I have taught Elementary school for the past 10 years. I also work with local camps and festivals as an art instructor.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I follow the State and National Standards for art. My style is based in DBAE with a mixture of Teaching for Artistic Behavior and Choice-Based learning.

Currently Elementary Lead Visual Arts Teacher for my School System Member of the GAEA and NAEA Presenter at GAEA Conferences (3 times) Presenter of PLU Credit Courses for my School System Artist with Arts Clayton Gallery in Jonesboro, Ga. Winner of Patron Award for Juried Photography Contest in 2012 at Arts Clayton Gallery Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Award Board Member and Adjudicator

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Not only am I am artist, but I also work closely with many theater groups within the Atlanta Theater community including The Henry Players, Act 3 Productions, and the Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards-as an adjudicator, performer, director, board member and adjudicator. I am happily married to my husband and we have a fur baby dog named Gus.
