I am currently in my 4th year teaching and this year have found my sweet spot in 2nd grade! I taught kinder my first year, and then spent the next two years in 3rd before my principal moved me to 2nd grade this year. I think 2nd grade has my heart!
I would call my teaching style "organized chaos" on a good day, and "hot mess" on a bad day. Just keeping it real! I'm incredibly organized and love to plan and create engaging activities for my kiddos, but my classroom certainly isn't picture perfect all the time. Let's be honest -- there are days where we are all just fakin' it 'til we make it! I'm hoping that the resources available in my store can help make it easier to fake it!

I graduated as the Valedictorian from a small private, Christian school in Texas in 2012. Having already earned some college credit while in high school, I took some classes the following year on a local college campus, some online, and tested out of some courses for credit, and was able to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in just one year! I graduated from Thomas Edison State College in 2013, and then began working on my teaching certification through an alternative certification program. I landed my first teaching job shortly after completing my certification in 2014 -- and the rest is history!
